Grenache is one of McLaren Vale's great strengths, with old bush vines and sandy, well-drained soils producing fragrant, red-fruited wines, while Shiraz adds colour and a firmer spine. The result is lighter on its feet than the classic Cabernet-based blend: red fruits, florals and white pepper lead, followed by cherry, pomegranate, fresh plum and a touch of rose water, with fine-grained tannins and a finish of baking spice.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA light chill does this wine no harm; aim for around 15 to 16 degrees.
