The 2022 season was cool and slow across much of the region, which tends to give wines with good colour and fine tannins. This release is deep red, with dark plum, blackcurrant and dark chocolate on the nose alongside dried sage, olive tapenade and a touch of vanilla from oak. The palate is soft and rich, with blueberry, dark cherry, espresso and baking spice before a finish of attractive, ripe tannins.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDecant for half an hour and serve at around 17 to 18 degrees. Chargrilled rib-eye, beef cheeks braised in red wine or a spiced lamb tagine will all match its weight.
