The Barossa provides both varieties, and the wine is matured in oak before bottling. In the cool 2023 season flavours built slowly, and the result is a stylish, scarlet-red wine with black cherry, blackcurrant, olive tapenade and dark chocolate. As it breathes, florals, sage and liquorice come through, while the palate carries coffee, blue fruits and spice over long tannins.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA magnum will serve eight to ten people. Give it time in a decanter, pour at 17 to 18 degrees, and match it with roast venison, braised beef or a board of hard cheeses.
