Your journey begins in Naples, where you’ll meet Gerardo at the port before boarding the ferry to Ischia. Upon arrival, Joanne will be waiting to welcome you to the striking island of Ischia - a place of dramatic volcanic cliffs, sweeping sea views, and a warm, effortless elegance that immediately feels like a holiday.

After checking in to the five-star Hotel Terme Mare Blu, we’ll meet for an aperitivo at the hotel before heading up into the hills for dinner at Il Focolare. Famous for its traditional rabbit dish and heartfelt hospitality, it’s the perfect first evening to unwind, connect, and feel the excitement of the days ahead.

The morning begins with a visit to Casa d’Ambra, one of Ischia’s most respected wineries, offering a deeper look into the island’s winemaking heritage. Enjoy a guided tasting of their wines and time among the vineyards, gaining insight into how Ischia’s volcanic landscape shapes both flavour and tradition.

Late afternoon, we make our way to the Castello Aragonese d’Ischia for a private tour and aperitivo within the ancient stone walls of this thousand-year-old fortress, offering sweeping views across the coastline and the Gulf of Naples.

As sunset approaches, we embark on a private boat tour along Ischia’s coastline before arriving by water for dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant, Umberto a Mare, where refined seafood cuisine and exceptional wine will be a night to remember.

The day begins with a leisurely morning at Poseidon Thermal Gardens, Ischia’s largest wellness park. Ischia is famous for its natural thermal springs, and spending time soaking in these mineral-rich waters is a true must-do on the island. Set along the coastline, Poseidon offers a collection of thermal and seawater pools, hydrotherapy facilities, and a steam grotto - the perfect place to relax, reset, and ease into island life.

During our spa day, we’ll walk to meet for a local lunch on the beach, enjoying simple, fresh flavours in a relaxed seaside setting.

As evening arrives, we gather for a relaxed pizza party, with Gerardo’s family and friends joining. Casual, generous, and unmistakably Italian, you’ll get to make your own Neapolitan pizzas - a chance to hang out with local Ischitans, sharing food, wine, and easy conversation.

We depart Ischia by ferry and return to the mainland, travelling on to Caserta to visit the impressive Reggia di Caserta (Royal Palace of Caserta), the largest royal palace in Europe and the world - a UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the "Versailles of Italy". Built in the 18th century for the Bourbon kings of Naples, the palace is known for its immense Baroque grandeur and expansive formal gardens, offering a fascinating insight into the region’s history and scale.

Lunch is at a Michelin-acclaimed restaurant,  Le Colonne, where we’ll enjoy a regional menu featuring buffalo mozzarella, a speciality of the Caserta area and one of southern Italy’s most iconic products.

Later in the day, we check-in to our country agriturismo, where the evening is spent enjoying a relaxed, family-style dinner together. Expect local dishes, regional wines, and a warm, informal setting that reflects the rural traditions of the area.

The next day is all about Irpinia, one of Campania’s most respected wine areas - before we swap vineyards for the glamour of the Amalfi Coast.

We start with a tasting at Quintodecimo, the cult winery of Professor Luigi Moio - a renowned Italian enologist and academic (University of Naples), widely regarded as one of the key figures behind the modern rise of premium Campanian wine. He’s known for his obsessive focus on vineyard precision and for producing benchmark wines from the region’s great varieties.

From there, we continue to Feudi di San Gregorio for a guided winery tasting and lunch. Feudi is famous not only for its wines, but also for its striking “design winery” and elevated hospitality - an ideal place to taste the breadth of Irpinia in comfort.

In the afternoon, we head to the Amalfi Coast, checking in to the 4-star Hotel Villa Romana in Minori. For dinner walk to a relaxed local ristorante - handmade pizzas and pastas, the perfect warm Amalfi welcome.

We begin in Ravello with an orchestra concert*, set high above the coastline in one of the Amalfi Coast’s most beautiful hill towns. Ravello is known for its sweeping views over the sea, elegant gardens, and long-standing connection to music and the arts - a truly special place to experience a live performance.

Next, we head to Cantine Marisa Cuomo in Furore for a winery tour, tasting and lunch. This is one of the Amalfi Coast’s most famous producers, known for its dramatic cliffside vineyards and cellar carved into the rock above the sea.

As evening arrives, we head to Atrani for dinner. One of the smallest and most picturesque villages on the Amalfi Coast, Atrani is known for its intimate piazza, historic architecture, and timeless local feel - far removed from the crowds. Dinner here is relaxed and atmospheric, the perfect way to enjoy the coast as locals do, with great food, wine, and the glow of evening settling over the village.

We begin with a casual yet elegant beach lunch in Conca dei Marini, enjoying fresh, local dishes in a beautiful coastal setting where the focus is on flavour, simplicity, and the sea.

The afternoon is spent in Positano, with time to explore at your own pace - wander the town’s winding streets, browse boutiques, or simply pause to take in the views that make it one of Italy’s most celebrated destinations.

We then travel by boat from Positano back to Minori, experiencing the Amalfi Coast from the water as the light softens and the coastline unfolds.

The day concludes with a farewell dinner at Michelin-acclaimed Ristorante Oltremare, an elegant setting overlooking the sea in Maiori. A memorable final evening of exceptional food, local wines, and the easy rhythm of coastal Italy.

After breakfast, we check out and travel back to Naples, with transfers provided to the airport or city centre, depending on your onward travel plans. A smooth and easy departure, marking the end of an incredible seven days of wine, food, and unforgettable moments in southern Italy.
