Beef Empanadas
Ingredients:
- 500g minced beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 cup green olives, sliced
- 1 package puff pastry
- 1 egg, beaten
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 200°C. In a pan, sauté onion and garlic until softened.
- Add minced beef, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned. Stir in olives and set aside to cool.
- Cut puff pastry into circles. Place a spoonful of filling in the centre of each circle and fold over, sealing the edges.
- Brush with beaten egg and bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm with chimichurri sauce or tomato salsa.
