Recipe

Asparagus Tart

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
  • 1 cup grated Gruyère cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Line a tart pan with puff pastry and trim the edges.
  2. Arrange asparagus on the pastry base. Sprinkle with Gruyère cheese.
  3. Whisk eggs and cream together, season with salt and pepper, and pour over the asparagus and cheese.
  4. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden and set. Serve warm with a glass of Chardonnay.

Tip: Add a sprinkle of nutmeg to the egg mixture for extra flavour.
