Description

Bachelet-Monnot Bourgogne Blanc Côte d'Or is a regional white drawn mostly from parcels in the Puligny-Montrachet area.

The Bourgogne Côte d’Or designation was created for regional wines grown within the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, separating them from Bourgogne fruit sourced anywhere in the region. Bachelet-Monnot, the Maranges domaine run by brothers Marc and Alexandre Bachelet, draws this white from 1.3 hectares of 20- to 50-year-old vines spread across four parcels in the Puligny area, plus a plot of younger Chassagne vines on chalky soil. That is unusually good land for a wine at this level, and it is the main reason the bottling performs above its classification. The handling is the same as for the domaine’s village whites: careful viticulture, a harvest date chosen with freshness in mind, and confident, hands-off winemaking that leaves the fruit to speak.

Drinking now and over the next three to four years. Serve at 10-12°C with grilled fish, roast chicken or a soft goat’s cheese.

*Every effort is made to ensure the current vintage is accurate; however, variations can occur. If you are after a specific vintage, please contact us prior to ordering.
