Benoît Moreau Bourgogne Blanc is made entirely from three parcels lying within Chassagne-Montrachet.

Regional Bourgogne Blanc covers a wide spread of quality, and the difference usually comes down to where the vines are and how long the wine is given. Benoît Moreau sources this cuvée exclusively from three parcels in Chassagne-Montrachet, all on the lower slopes where the soils are deeper and richer in clay, and all planted more than twenty years ago. Working from the same cellar and with the same methods as his premiers crus, he gives the wine eighteen months of maturation before release, considerably longer than most wines at this level receive, which builds texture without adding obvious oak. The house style throughout the range is racy and mineral rather than broad, and this bottling follows it closely.

A good introduction to the domaine, ready on release and holding three to five years; serve with grilled fish, roast chicken or goat's cheese at 10-12°C.
