Blind Corner Blanc 2021

Blind Corner Blanc is a Sauvignon Blanc-led white from certified biodynamic vines in Margaret River.

Organic and biodynamic certification is still uncommon in Margaret River, and the Goulds hold it across both their vineyards, a decision that shapes everything from cover crops to the state the fruit arrives in. The 2021 leans hard on Sauvignon Blanc at 88 per cent, with Chenin Blanc making up the rest, all from blocks over twenty years old at Quindalup on sand and gravel over granite. Hand-picked, wild-fermented in stainless steel variety by variety, given a nip of skin contact and a little old oak, then blended and bottled unfined.

Lemon, snow pea and passionfruit, dry and brisk, with more grip than the price suggests. Serve at 8 degrees straight from the fridge. Whiting off the barbecue, a dozen oysters, or a plate of marinated vegetables and good bread.
