Description
Description
Blind Corner Blanc is a Margaret River white blending Sauvignon Blanc with Semillon, from organically and biodynamically farmed vines.
2024 was the earliest harvest the Goulds have recorded, and the season leading into it was hot and dry, the sort of year that punishes vineyards run on inputs and rewards ones with deep roots and living soil. Their vines took it in stride and came in clean, with intense flavour. The blend sits at 83 per cent Sauvignon Blanc and 17 per cent Semillon, both from twenty-plus-year-old blocks at Quindalup. Fermentation was split across stainless steel, old French barriques and a concrete egg, with malolactic conversion allowed to finish before blending and unfined bottling.
Bright and quite intense: lime, guava and a dab of lemon blossom, with fine texture across the middle and a dry close. Pour at 9 degrees. Sashimi, grilled prawns, or a chicken and herb salad.
