Brokenwood Indigo Vineyard Pinot Noir 2024

Brokenwood Indigo Vineyard Pinot Noir is a single-site red from the Beechworth region, made by one of the Hunter Valley's best-known wineries.

Beyond its Hunter Valley roots, Brokenwood has built a strong presence in Beechworth, where the Indigo Vineyard supplies both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The altitude and cool climate of the region suit this grape, preserving natural acidity and perfume. Winemaking combines whole-bunch fermentation, which contributes spice and fine fruit tannin, with maturation in French oak. Expect medium density, bright red hues and a nose of cherry, bramble and warm spice, followed by a soft entry of forest fruits and a fresh line of acidity. Drink it now for its youthful energy, or cellar it to build complexity.

Chill it lightly to 14 to 16 degrees before pouring. Pair with pork belly, roast chicken with thyme or a mushroom and gruyère pie.
