Chaffey Bros Funkelpunkt Sparkling 2022

Chaffey Bros Funkelpunkt Sparkling is a dry, aromatic sparkling white from the Eden Valley.

Funkelpunkt, German for 'sparkling point', is a small-batch wine from the Fechner brothers' Eden Valley vineyard. It combines mineral Riesling with textural Kerner, a German crossing also known as Weißer Herold, and finishes with a small splash of Gewürztraminer for extra perfume. The three varieties give a fizz with more aromatic character than most, while the brut finish keeps it crisp, dry and refreshing. It is sealed under cork.

Chill it well and open it as an aperitif, with fresh oysters, prawn dumplings or crumbed fish. It is at its best young and fresh.
