Champagne Larmandier-Bernier 1er Cru Longitude Blanc de Blancs is drawn from Côte des Blancs sites whose thin topsoils sit directly on chalk.

Larmandier-Bernier are based at Vertus and work four villages for this cuvée: Cramant, Avize, Oger and Vertus itself. The name is the counterpart to the house's Latitude bottling, referring to the vertical arrangement of the sites rather than a shared line across the slope, and it also describes the wine. Where Latitude comes from clay-influenced ground on the southern flank and spreads across the palate, Longitude comes from parcels with thinner topsoil, where the roots plunge straight into chalky bedrock, and the result is narrower, more linear and more mineral. This bottling is based on the 2019 harvest and was disgorged in December 2021. The house works with natural fermentations, large-format wood, no filtration and low, extra-brut dosage levels applied well before release.

Drinking well now and holding six to eight years. Serve at 8°C with oysters, grilled whiting or a plate of aged Comté.
