Recipe

Kafta Meshwi (Grilled Lamb Kofta)

Ingredients:

  • 500g minced lamb
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix the lamb, onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into small sausage-like patties or around skewers.
  3. Brush with olive oil and grill over medium heat for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through.
  4. Serve with pita bread, yoghurt sauce, and a fresh salad.

Tip: Add a squeeze of lemon over the kofta before serving for extra brightness.
