Domaine Vincent Dancer Bourgogne Blanc 2021

Domaine Vincent Dancer Bourgogne Blanc is a regional white sourced entirely from vines inside the village boundaries of Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet.

The Bourgogne appellation covers land across the whole region, and its quality depends almost entirely on the grower. Vincent Dancer, who took over family vines in 1996 and now works with his son Théo, farms a small holding spread through Chassagne-Montrachet, Meursault, Pommard and Beaune. This wine comes from two parcels: one in Meursault planted in 2001, the other in Puligny-Montrachet planted in 1990, both on the limestone and marl of the Côte de Beaune. The fruit is picked by hand, whole-bunch pressed and fermented with indigenous yeasts, then raised in a combination of stainless steel tank and old oak, with no new barrels involved. The domaine's low yields and unhurried élevage give this bottling more gravitas and complexity than its appellation would suggest.

Ready on release and drinking well for four to six years. Serve at 10-12°C with grilled whiting, roast chicken or a leek and cheese tart.
