Domaine Vincent Dancer Meursault Les Grands Charrons comes from a 0.29-hectare parcel planted in 1958, in one of the commune's firmer, more mineral sites.

Les Grands Charrons sits on the northern side of Meursault, in a group of well-regarded village lieux-dits that includes Le Tesson, Les Rougeots and Les Chevalières, close to the premier cru Les Gouttes d'Or. The site consistently produces a more restrained and mineral style of Meursault than the fleshier southern parcels, and the reputation of these northern climats has grown steadily. Vincent Dancer's holding here is small, planted in 1958, and the age of the vines together with naturally low yields concentrates the fruit. The domaine picks by hand, presses whole bunches, ferments on indigenous yeasts and raises the wine in older barrels, avoiding new oak and any deliberate build-up of richness. The result carries depth without losing the tension the site is known for.

Worth three to five years in the cellar and good for a decade. Serve at 10-12°C with roast turbot, chicken with morels or aged Comté.
