Domaine Vincent Latour Meursault 1er Cru Charmes 2021

Domaine Vincent Latour Meursault 1er Cru Charmes is a generous premier cru Meursault with a mineral, buttery character.

Meursault is one of the great white wine villages of Burgundy's Côte de Beaune, and Charmes sits on the southern side of the commune, close to Puligny-Montrachet. The vineyard is known for open, round wines that are often approachable earlier than some of their neighbours. The domaine is a family estate in the village, making its wines in the traditional regional way with barrel fermentation and ageing in oak. The 2021 vintage was a small one in Burgundy after severe spring frosts, and many of its whites show a fresher, more restrained profile.

Chill lightly and pour it with roast chicken and tarragon, scallops in brown butter or a creamy fish pie. It will continue to develop over the next several years.
