DuMOL Wester Reach Chardonnay Russian River Valley 2022

DuMOL Wester Reach Chardonnay Russian River Valley is a barrel-fermented Chardonnay blended from a handful of sites in the valley.

Instead of focusing on one vineyard, this blend pulls from several to show the character of the whole appellation. Barrel fermentation and French oak give texture, while the fresh acidity of fog-cooled fruit stays up front. It comes from a Sonoma winery that has worked with growers and its own plantings since the mid-1990s.

Citrus and stone fruit, rich but fresh, finishing fine and textured. Serve at 10–12°C with roast chicken, crayfish, scallops in brown butter or soft-rind cheeses.
