Recipe

Steamed Mussels with Garlic and White Wine

Ingredients:

  • 1kg fresh mussels, cleaned
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Crusty bread, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot. Sauté garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add mussels and white wine. Cover and cook for 5–7 minutes, shaking the pot occasionally, until mussels open.
  3. Discard any unopened mussels. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve with crusty bread.

Tip: Add a pinch of chilli flakes for extra heat.
