Description
Description
What began as an experimental wine in 2008 as a homage to winemaker Giovanni Manetti’s late father, Dino has since become one of the most sought-after wines in the Fontodi range. Made from 100% Sangiovese, Dino is fermented and aged for 15 months exclusively in terracotta amphorae to allow for a truly pure expression of Tuscan Sangiovese. Bottled without added sulphites, this wine offers elegance, complexity, and remarkable vibrancy. Lovely ruby in the glass with purple hues, the nose reveals balsamic herbs, cherry, blackberry, and sweet tobacco. The palate is layered, structured, and persistent.

Fontodi is located in the heart of Chianti Classico, in the renowned Conca d'Oro valley south of Panzano. This amphitheatre-shaped area is historically prized for quality viticulture, thanks to its combination of high altitude, calcareous clay-schist soil, ample sunlight, and dramatic temperature shifts between day and night. As a certified organic estate owned by the Manetti family since 1968, Fontodi embraces both tradition and innovation to produce expressive, terroir-driven wines.
