Jim Barry Single Vineyard The Farm Cabernet Malbec is a plush Clare Valley blend from one of the family's own vineyards.

The Farm is a Barry family vineyard in the Clare Valley, and this wine belongs to a series of single-vineyard releases designed to show the character of individual sites. Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec have been paired in the Clare since the early days of table wine in the region, and the family's founder planted both in his first vineyard in 1964. Here Cabernet gives structure along with red currant leaf and cedar notes, while Malbec adds dark blue fruit and plushness. The 2020 is full-fruited and generous from start to finish.

Serve at around 16 to 18 degrees with barbecued beef ribs, lamb chops or a hearty bean and sausage cassoulet. It's approachable now and has the structure to age for a few years.
