Langmeil Bella Rouge Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé is a bright, juicy Barossa rosé made from Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Langmeil winery sits on the banks of the North Para River at Tanunda, on land first settled by German-speaking Lutheran families in the 1840s. The modern winery was revived in the mid-1990s by the Lindner family, who set out to protect some of the Barossa's oldest vines. Alongside the old-vine Shiraz the valley is known for, the team makes a handful of fresher, early-drinking wines, and this is one of them. Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are picked early to keep the acidity lively, and the juice spends only a short time on skins to pick up its pale raspberry colour before a cool, protective ferment in stainless steel.

Serve well chilled on a warm afternoon. It sits nicely with prosciutto and melon, prawn skewers, a ham and salad lunch or a fruit-based dessert, and the generous red-fruit style will appeal to anyone who likes a softer, fruit-forward rosé.
