Zuppa di Pesce alla Napoletana (Serves 4)

Zuppa di Pesce alla Napoletana is a Neapolitan-style seafood stew featuring fish, shellfish, and tomatoes, perfect for a warming and hearty meal.

Ingredients:

  • 500g mixed seafood (prawns, clams, mussels, squid)
  • 500g white fish fillets (such as cod or sea bass)
  • 400g canned tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • Olive oil, for sautéing
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Sauté Aromatics: In a large pot, heat olive oil and sauté the onion and garlic until softened.
  2. Add Tomatoes and Wine: Add the canned tomatoes and white wine, bringing the mixture to a simmer.
  3. Add Fish and Shellfish: Add the fish fillets and shellfish to the pot. Cover and cook until the fish is tender and the shellfish have opened, about 10 minutes.
  4. Season and Serve: Season with salt and pepper, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve with crusty bread.
