Lethbridge Ooh La La Chardonnay 2025

Lethbridge Ooh La La Chardonnay is a single-vineyard Bellarine Chardonnay in the estate's generous style.

For 2025 the whole crop came from Hat Rock on the Bellarine Peninsula, where black self-mulching clay over limestone buckshot gives both depth and drive. Parcels were pressed as whole bunches, fermented on wild yeast in new French oak, then given time on fine lees in older puncheons of 300 and 500 litres, with malolactic conversion also running to completion on wild yeast. Ray Nadeson and Maree Collis name their wines as expressively as they make them, and the shift to a single site has tightened this one up without costing it any charm.

Generous and precise at once: citrus, apple and blossom, a little spice, and a savoury edge carrying a long finish. Serve at 12 degrees. Match it with grilled crayfish, roast chicken, a leek and cheese tart or crumbed fish.
