Lethbridge Pinot Noir 375ml 2021

Lethbridge Pinot Noir 375ml is a half bottle of Geelong Pinot Noir drawn from four single vineyards.

Two Moorabool Valley sites, Hillside Haven and Springbank, sit alongside Hat Rock and Suma Park on the Bellarine Peninsula. 2021 was cool and refreshed by rain, which produced healthy canopies and balanced crops, and the wines from it carry both elegance and depth. Each parcel was handpicked and wild-fermented with around half whole bunches, then matured for ten months in French barriques, 35 per cent of them new. The half bottle is a sensible format for Pinot at this weight: enough for two glasses, and a slightly quicker path to maturity.

Maraschino cherry, forest berry and jasmine, with a savoury ripe-tomato-leaf note and spice behind. Silky tannin, understated oak, a long and graceful close. Serve at 15 degrees. Good with duck, quail, roast chicken or mushrooms on toast.
