Ingredients:- 500g scallops, cleaned
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp plain flour
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup cream
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 200℃.
- Make the Filling: Melt butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until softened. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Add Milk and Cream: Gradually add milk and cream, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens. Add lemon zest, season with salt and pepper, and stir in the scallops.
- Assemble Pie: Pour the scallop mixture into a pie dish. Cover with the puff pastry, sealing the edges and cutting a few slits for ventilation.
- Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
