Old Kempton The Old Stables Single Malt Whisky 50ml is a miniature of the distillery's flagship Tasmanian single malt.

Fifty millilitres is a single generous nip, which makes it a low-risk way into a range otherwise sold in 500ml bottles. The whisky takes its name from the old stables on the Dysart Estate that the distillery now occupies. Casks are around 60 per cent ex-Australian Tawny and 20 per cent Apera, with Pinot Noir, Bourbon and a touch of fortified Shiraz completing the picture, after five to six years' maturation. Underneath is Tasmanian barley wash from Cambridge, double distilled in Hobart-built Knapp Lewer copper pot stills.

Rich and powerful for its strength, with intensity and balance holding together over dried fruit, spice and a nutty, buttery finish. Pour the whole measure into a tulip glass at room temperature. It also slots into a home tasting flight or a gift box without fuss.
