Old Kempton Whisky Showcase Gift Set 3x50ml

Old Kempton Whisky present Gift Set is a boxed trio of 50ml Tasmanian single malts with a branded nosing glass.

Three bottlings and a Wee Glencairn glass make up the box: Old Stables, Classic Pinot and Coachhouse. Old Stables, which took the 2022 World Whisky Awards prize for Australia's finest small batch single malt, comes mostly from ex-Australian Tawny and Apera casks. Classic Pinot uses wood from Frogmore Creek and Stefano Lubiana, a difficult style to get right, which Rob Tyson manages. Coachhouse is the house-style blend at cask strength, given five to six years across Sherry, Tokaji, Port and Pinot Noir wood. All three start as Tasmanian barley wash through copper pot stills.

A good starting point for anyone new to Tasmanian whisky, and a fair spread for a drinker who wants to see how different casks change the same spirit. It suits a gift, or a quiet comparison between two or three people.
