Place of Changing Winds Between Two Mountains Pinot Noir is a Macedon Ranges Pinot Noir raised in Stockinger casks.

The name refers to the vineyard's position between Mount Macedon and Mount Bullengarook. A third of the 2021 went into the ferment as whole bunches, and the wine then spent nineteen months in Stockinger casks with no new oak at all, an unusually long élevage for a wine at this level and one reason it has the structure it does. Several parcels across the site make up the blend. Power is the first impression, though the finesse is there underneath; Robert Walters and Rémi have built something that drinks well young and has the balance to hold for many years.

Dark cherry and plum with plenty of upfront fruit, then spice and a firm tannin frame. Serve at 15 degrees, decanted while young. Try it with roast duck, braised beef or a wintry mushroom and barley dish.
