Primo Estate Merlesco Merlot 2025

Primo Estate Merlesco Merlot is a light, fresh and juicy Merlot designed to be enjoyed young, even with a slight chill.

The Grilli family of Primo Estate has always looked to Italy for inspiration, and this Merlot is made in the lighter, fruit-first style that Italians drink with everyday meals. The aim is freshness: blackberry, blueberry and cherry fruit stay at the fore, balanced by good acidity and soft, gentle tannins. It comes from the Grilli family's home region of McLaren Vale in South Australia, and at 13% alcohol it is a nimble, refreshing red that needs no cellaring or ceremony. It is a wine to open on a whim and share around the table.

Serve it slightly cool, at around 14 to 16 degrees, which brings out its juiciness. It goes with pizza, charcuterie, burgers and roast chicken.
