Radford Dale Chardonnay 2019

Radford Dale Chardonnay is a mineral, citrus-driven Stellenbosch Chardonnay that puts structure ahead of richness.

Founded by Alex Dale and Ben Radford, the winery is based on the Helderberg in Stellenbosch, close enough to False Bay to feel its cooling breezes. The team's approach to Chardonnay favours restraint: acidity and citrus sit at the core, and oak is well integrated, adding texture without dominating. The wine combines a crisp lime edge and real minerality with ripeness and great persistence on the palate. In the winery's own words, it is focused on backbone, not butter. With several years in bottle, it has had time to build complexity around its citrus fruit.

Serve lightly chilled, around 10 to 12 degrees, so its texture can show. It suits roast chicken, crayfish, pork belly or a creamy mushroom pasta.
