Spring Seed Chardonnay 2022

Spring Seed Chardonnay is a fresh, modern Chardonnay from organically grown McLaren Vale fruit.

Stone fruit and citrus lead here, with oak kept well in the background. The winery is the sister label to Battle of Bosworth, run by Joch Bosworth and Louise Hemsley-Smith, and every label is dressed like an old packet of garden seeds. McLaren Vale's warmth ripens the grapes easily, while breezes off the gulf keep them bright.

Peach and citrus with a light, creamy texture. Serve at 8–10°C with roast chicken, pork or a seafood pasta. It's a crowd-pleaser and fair value for weeknight dinners or having people round.
