Stanton & Killeen Rutherglen Muscat 500ml NV

Stanton & Killeen Rutherglen Muscat is the entry-tier fortified Muscat from one of Rutherglen's founding families, sweet and fruit-forward.

Hot days, cool nights and long dry autumns in north-east Victoria ripen the red-skinned Muscat à Petits Grains to very high sugar. Picked late, it is partly fermented, fortified with neutral spirit and aged in old oak casks. Younger and older material is blended to a consistent house style, and at this first of four tiers the fruit stays to the fore.

Fresh and raisiny with a lively lift. Pour 60 ml at 14–16°C, or lightly chilled in summer, with blue cheese or sticky date pudding, or tip it over vanilla ice cream.
