Braised Beef with Herbs
Ingredients:
- 1.5kg beef chuck, cut into large pieces
- 2 onions, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cups red wine
- 2 cups beef stock
- 3 sprigs thyme
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Season beef with salt and pepper. Sear in olive oil until browned and set aside.
- Sauté onions and garlic until softened. Add wine and let it reduce by half.
- Add beef stock and thyme, then return beef to the pot. Simmer gently for 2-3 hours until tender.
