The Jezebel Absinthe 700ml

The Jezebel is the first Australian absinthe made in the clear Blanche style.

It is distilled in Victoria by Ashley Doney's Head Heart and Tales Distilling Co, in small batches from predominantly locally grown ingredients. Blanche is the clear, uncoloured form of absinthe historically associated with nineteenth-century France and Switzerland, bottled straight off the still without the herbal maceration that gives verte absinthe its green tint. The Jezebel is double-distilled in Melbourne using a proprietary botanical bill weighted heavily towards the three plants at the centre of the category, fennel, wormwood and aniseed, with the aim of a pure and balanced spirit rather than an aggressive one. It sits within a growing group of Australian craft distillates working in classical European idioms.

Serve in the traditional way, with iced water dripped slowly over a sugar cube, or long with bitter lemon. It also carries local character into a Sazerac or a Corpse Reviver No. 2.
