Yalumba The Signature Cabernet Sauvignon & Shiraz Gift Box presents the celebrated Barossa blend ready for giving.

First bottled in 1962, the wine honours a different person each year, someone whose work or loyalty has left a mark on the family business, which makes it a thoughtful present. The blend brings together Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon for backbone and Shiraz for flesh, matured in oak. From the excellent 2021 season, this release is deep red and perfumed, with floral notes, red liquorice, blackcurrant and dark cherry. It is full-bodied, balanced and refined, with generous fruit meeting ironstone tannins and a long finish.

If the recipient opens it soon, suggest decanting for an hour and serving at 17 to 18 degrees with roast lamb or a good steak. Otherwise, it will reward ten years or more in a cool cellar.
