A week of wine, food and southern Italy at its best
For years we’ve travelled back to Italy - sometimes for wine, sometimes for family - and almost every time friends and customers ask:
“Can we just come with you?”
So we created this journey.
In July 2026, we’re hosting a small-group trip through Ischia, inland Campania and the Amalfi Coast - a week designed for people who genuinely love wine, food and Italy.
This isn’t a sightseeing tour.
It’s a chance to experience southern Italy through its vineyards, its tables and the people behind them.
You’ll travel with us - Gerardo and Joanne from DiVino - visiting our favourite places and meeting the producers, chefs and locals who make this part of Italy so special.

Discover Campania’s Remarkable Wines
Campania is one of Italy’s oldest wine regions, yet it remains surprisingly undiscovered by international travellers.
Here, vineyards sit on volcanic soils surrounded by mountains and historic villages - producing wines with remarkable character and freshness.
During the trip, you’ll visit small family-run wineries, walk through vineyards and taste wines alongside the people who make them. It’s an opportunity to experience wine where it’s born and understand how landscape, climate and tradition shape every bottle.
You’ll also discover grape varieties rarely seen in Australia, including Falanghina, Fiano, Greco and Aglianico - indigenous grapes that have been grown in this region for centuries and produce some of Italy’s most distinctive wines.
Once you taste them at the source, surrounded by the vineyards they come from, the wines make complete sense.

Food That Defines Italian Culture
In Italy, wine is never separate from food.
Meals unfold slowly, dishes are seasonal and ingredients come from nearby farms, markets and the sea.
Throughout the week you’ll enjoy:
- Long vineyard lunches
- Regional restaurants chosen for authenticity
- Fresh local seafood and produce
- Meals where wine naturally accompanies every course
This is Italian dining the way locals experience it - relaxed, generous and deeply authentic.

Ischia and the Amalfi Coast
Part of the magic of southern Italy is the contrast between the vineyards inland and the coastline just beyond them.
Our journey begins on Ischia, a volcanic island in the Bay of Naples that many Italians consider one of the country’s best-kept secrets. Known for its thermal springs, fertile volcanic soil and strong food culture, it’s a place where life slows down - long lunches by the sea, fresh seafood, and wines shaped by volcanic soils and Mediterranean breezes.

From there we move to the Amalfi Coast, where dramatic cliffs plunge into the Mediterranean and colourful villages cling to the mountainside.
Here the pace slows again - time to explore the villages, enjoy meals overlooking the water and take in one of Italy’s most iconic landscapes.
Together with the vineyards of Campania, Ischia and the Amalfi Coast create a perfect balance of wine, food, scenery and relaxation.

Your Food & Wine-Loving Hosts: Gerardo and Joanne
This journey is fully hosted by Gerardo and Joanne, founders of DiVino and passionate advocates for Italian food and wine.
For Gerardo, the trip is also deeply personal. He was born on the island of Ischia, and throughout the week you’ll experience the region through his local knowledge, family connections and long-standing relationships with winemakers and chefs.
Rather than visiting as tourists, you’ll experience southern Italy through people who know and love it deeply.

Joanne brings her love of travel, hospitality and great food, helping create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere throughout the journey.
Together, they’ll guide you through the week - introducing you to local producers, sharing stories, and making sure every part of the trip runs seamlessly.
