42 Degrees South Chardonnay is grown in Tasmania's Coal River Valley.

Tasmania's cool maritime climate gives Chardonnay a citrus definition and acidity the mainland struggles to match, and the Coal River's low rainfall makes for a controlled, even ripening season. The wine sees a portion of barrel work rather than full oak maturation, which keeps it fresh.

Serve at 12 degrees with roast chicken, fish or a creamy pasta. Drink within five years.
