Description

An Approach to Relaxation Nichon Semillon 2020 is a Semillon from the Barossa Valley in South Australia.

Beyond grape and region, nothing about the site or the cellar work is documented in the material we hold, so this entry stays brief. Semillon is a long-standing but now uncommon Barossa white, and the Barossa style differs from the Hunter Valley's: warmer conditions give a fuller, more textural wine rather than the lean, low-alcohol Hunter model. The 2020 has had several years in bottle.

Barossa Semillon generally shows lemon, wax and a touch of nutty development with age, over moderate acidity. Serve at 10 to 12 degrees with grilled fish, chicken, pork terrine or a hard cheese.
