Artis Jacopin Chardonnay 2022

This wine is a blend from two vineyards. The main component comes from Scotts Creek vineyard in Morgan (Riverland). Grapes from here provide up-front, fresh flavours that enable the finished wine to be enjoyed straight away, without the need for long-term cellaring. To this I have blended wine from Woodlands Ridge vineyard, Kenton Valley (Adelaide Hills), contributing elegance, texture, and structure.

This wine is a unique blend of Chardonnay and Gruner Veltliner. The Chardonnay (92% of the blend) contributes vibrant lemon citrus and nectarine fruit aromas and flavours as well as a soft, round palate. Gruner Veltliner (8% of the blend) adds texture and structure, balancing the “fullness” of the Chardonnay and contributing to the long, elegant finish on the palate.

Served slightly chilled with antipasto platters and summer salads.
