Bruno Rocca Barbaresco Marcorino comes from a cru in the commune of Neive.

Neive is the easternmost of Barbaresco's three main communes and its wines tend to be firmer than those of Treiso or Barbaresco itself. Marcorino sits on calcareous soils with a southerly aspect. Nebbiolo here is late-ripening and high in both acid and tannin, which is why the appellation demands extended ageing before the wine can be sold.

Decant and serve at 17 degrees with braised beef, game or aged cheese. It rewards fifteen years.
