Campari Bitter 700ml

Campari is the deep red Italian bitter that forms the base of the Negroni and the Americano, at 25% alcohol.

Gaspare Campari created the recipe in Novara in 1860 and later moved to Milan, where his cafe made the drink famous. It is an infusion of herbs, aromatic plants and fruit in alcohol and water, and the full recipe remains a secret. Its pronounced bitterness and bright colour have made it an essential bottle in any bar.

For a Negroni, stir equal parts Campari, gin and sweet vermouth over ice and garnish with orange. It is also served simply with soda.
