Description

Cascina Penna-Currado San Sebastiano is a Nebbiolo d'Alba from the hills north of the town.

Nebbiolo d'Alba covers vineyards outside the Barolo and Barbaresco zones, largely in Roero and around Alba itself, where sandier soils give a softer and earlier-drinking wine than the two great appellations. It is one of the best-value expressions of the variety. The wine is fermented with native yeast and aged in large oak.

Serve at 16 degrees with pasta, veal or a mushroom risotto. Drink over the next eight years.
