Castello di Neive Langhe Nebbiolo DOC 2022

Castello di Neive Langhe Nebbiolo DOC is Piedmont's noble grape in its most approachable form, from an estate at the centre of the Barbaresco zone.

Langhe Nebbiolo is the appellation growers use for Nebbiolo that sits outside the strict rules of Barolo and Barbaresco, whether from younger vines, from parcels beyond the delimited crus, or from lots declassified in the cellar. It carries far shorter ageing requirements, which means the wine reaches the table earlier and shows the variety without the long wait. Castello di Neive farms an extensive holding in the village of Neive, one of the four communes entitled to the Barbaresco name, and takes its name from the castle at the heart of the village. The wine is fermented on skins and matured in oak before bottling.

Serve at about 16 to 18C with roast poultry, pasta with meat sauce, salumi or a plate of Piedmontese cheeses.
