Terroirs is Agrapart's Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs, here in magnum, blended from old vines in four Côte des Blancs villages.

Pascal Agrapart farms at Avize, and the estate has become one of the standard-bearers for grower Champagne built on site rather than on house style. This cuvée is entirely Grand Cru, with fruit from Avize, Cramant, Oger and Oiry, and vine age averaging more than fifty years — as important to the result as the villages themselves. The blend is based on three vintages, 2021, 2020 and 2019, with reserve wine making up a remarkable 70 per cent of the whole. After natural fermentation, half the wine matured in large-format neutral oak, and it spent over 36 months on lees. Dosage is limited to 3 grams per litre and disgorgement was carried out by hand in March 2025. The combination of Grand Cru sites, old vines and a high proportion of reserve wine sets it well apart from the house's 7 Crus.

Wonderful now and better still after another year or two under cork. Serve at 8 to 10°C with oysters, roast turbot or aged Comté.
