Champagne Pascal Agrapart Grand Cru Terroirs Blanc de Blancs, in three-litre double magnum, is drawn entirely from grand cru sites in four Côte des Blancs villages.

Terroirs is Agrapart's grand cru blanc de blancs, sourced only from Avize, Cramant, Oger and Oiry, four of the most highly regarded villages in the Côte des Blancs. Vine age is as important here as provenance, with the plantings averaging more than fifty years. This release is based on the 2020 and 2019 harvests, and unusually the reserve wine from the earlier year makes up 80% of the blend. After natural fermentation, half the wine matured in large-format neutral oak, and the assembled cuvée spent over 36 months on lees before hand disgorgement, with dosage limited to 5 g/L. The combination of old vines, grand cru sites and a high proportion of reserve wine is what separates this from the house's 7 Crus bottling.

Excellent now and better still after another year or two, with a decade ahead in this format; serve with shellfish, roast chicken or aged Comté at about 8°C.
