Chartogne-Taillet Cuvée Sainte Anne Brut is the house's core bottling, named for the patron saint of Merfy and assembled from parcels vinified one by one.

Merfy and Saint-Thierry lie north-west of Reims, away from the classic districts, on diverse sand-rich limestone soils that give Chartogne-Taillet's wines their vibrancy and finesse. The vines behind this cuvée were planted between 1970 and 2009. Each plot is fermented separately and only then blended, so that site character rather than house style leads the assemblage. This release is based on the 2022 harvest and comprises 50% Chardonnay, with the remaining half split evenly between Pinot Noir and Meunier. It was raised predominantly in old oak barrels of various sizes, with a small portion in stainless steel. Reserve wine accounts for 50% of the blend, an unusually high proportion at this level, and the dosage is 2.5 g/L.

Drink now or keep for a few years; it works as an aperitif and with oysters, fried fish or a soft cheese. Serve at about 8°C.
