Recipe

Tarte aux Champignons et Fromage (Mushroom and Cheese Tart)

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 300g mixed mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 200mL cream
  • 100g grated Gruyère cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh thyme for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Line a tart tin with puff pastry and prick the base with a fork.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sauté the onion, garlic, and mushrooms until softened. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Spread the mushroom mixture evenly over the pastry base.
  4. Pour cream over the mushrooms and sprinkle with grated Gruyère cheese.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden and set. Garnish with fresh thyme before serving.
