Château de la Tour Clos Vougeot Grand Cru Hommage à Jean Morin is made only from the first bunch on the first shoot of vines planted in 1910.

Château de la Tour is the largest single owner within the Clos de Vougeot and the only estate with a château inside the walls. This cuvée, named for François Labet's grandfather, comes from the oldest vines in the holding, planted in 1910, the same parcel that supplies most of the fruit for the Vieilles Vignes bottling. The difference is the picking: only the first bunch on the first shoot of each vine is harvested. Furthest from the apical bud and closest to the trunk, these bunches sit on less vigorous shoots and are smaller and more intensely flavoured. The first Hommage was made in 2010 to mark the plot's centenary and was intended as a one-off; it is now released whenever the vintage allows. Just 900 bottles of the 2020 were produced.

Built for the long haul, with a drinking window running from about eight years to well beyond twenty; serve at 16–18°C with roast game, beef Wellington or truffled dishes.
