Description
Château Lilian Ladouys Saint-Estèphe is a Left Bank Bordeaux red from one of the appellation's most closely watched rising estates.
Saint-Estèphe is the northernmost of the Médoc's great communal appellations, its clay-rich soils giving wines of firm structure and longevity. The estate traces its origins back to the sixteenth century and took its modern name from Lilian Thiéblot, who revived the property with her husband in the 1980s. Since 2008 it has been owned by Jacky and Françoise Lorenzetti, who have expanded the vineyard, moved toward organic farming and invested heavily in the winery, earning Lilian Ladouys a reputation as one of Saint-Estèphe's most improved addresses.
A structured, generous Bordeaux red suited to roast meats and hearty, slow-cooked dishes.
